Shipping policy

At Gooey Louie, we strive to ensure that your gooey butter cakes arrive fresh and delicious. Here's what you need to know about our shipping policy:

Processing & Shipping:

We ship to all 50 states in the United States of America. (We currently do not offer international shipping as part of our standard shipping options, but please contact us to see if we can explore possible shipping options.)
As a small bakery, we need a bit more time to get your order ready, especially during busy times like holidays and event seasons. Please allow 2-3 business days to process orders before they're shipped.
All orders are shipped via UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail to ensure timely delivery. If you need expedited shipping, please contact us directly at louie@gooeybuttercake.com or 314-473-1800 for additional pricing and information.
To avoid weekend overlays and ensure peak freshness, Gooey Louie ships Tuesdays through Thursdays. During peak shipping seasons, Gooey Louie may also ship items on Mondays.
Once your order leaves Gooey Louie, average shipping times range from 2 to 3 business days depending on your location, but cannot be guaranteed.
Gooey Louie is not responsible for delivery delays due to high volume, weather, incorrect addresses, or unforeseen circumstances.
Great care is taken when packaging orders, however we cannot control how packages are handled once they leave our facility. We are not responsible for any damage incurred during transit. Cancellation Policy:

Orders cannot be canceled after a tracking number has been generated.
Please contact us directly at louie@gooeybuttercake.com or 314-473-1800 with any issues, changes, or requests for cancellation. We will try our best to accommodate you.

Bulk Orders & Customized Orders:

To order and get pricing for large/customized orders, please contact us directly at louie@gooeybuttercake.com or 314-608-3734.
Place order a minimum of 10 days in advance of your event. We are a small bakery and get booked up fairly quickly, so please contact us as early as possible.

Local Pickup:

Gooey Louie offers local pickup at our 2 St. Louis locations in Creve Coeur and Clayton.
Hours for both locations: TUES-FRI 11:00 AM-5:30 PM, SAT 11:00 AM-3:30 PM, Closed SUN & MON. We offer appointments for large order pickups.
Our original 8x8 gooey butter cakes and individual servings (limited quantities) are always available during store hours. You don’t even have to order online, just come in and buy in-person!
For specialty flavors and large orders (over 5), please allow 4-8 hours within store hours for us to prepare your order. You will be informed when your order is ready.
Orders placed outside of store hours will be available for pickup during the next operating hours. (Please note that we are closed on Sundays and Mondays.) You will receive notification once your order is ready for pickup.

Storage Instructions:

A care card with in-depth storage tips is included in shipping orders.
Since we do not use preservatives, it's best to enjoy your gooey butter cakes as soon as possible or store them in the refrigerator or freezer.
If you don't plan to eat your treats within the first week after delivery, you can store them in the refrigerator for up to 10 days or freeze them for up to 6 months. Simply allow them to thaw before enjoying.
